Ebola--- Catholic Priests Bans Body Contact With Worshipers.

The Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, His Eminence, John Cardinal Onaiyekan, in a statement directed all priests to stop the hand to mouth procedure of giving the Holy comunion. this is in a bit to curtail the spread of the deadly Ebola vivrus.

The Archbishop of Lagos Adewale Martins also released a statement yesterday saying that while the handshakes have been suspended, Catholic priests should continue the traditional hand to mouth method of given Holy Communion for now, but asked the priest to make sure their hands don't touch the tongues of the recipient.

He also said Holy Water bowls usually placed at the entrance of churches should be discontinued to contain the spread of the virus.
Many Catholic churches have already adopted the procedure, and carried it out yesterday during communion.
Also, the Primate of the Church Of Nigeria Anglican Communion the Most Reverend Nicholas Okoh has suspended shandshakes during the exchange of the peace, during consecration of the Holy Communion. All these are preventive measures taken to curb the spread of Ebola.
