2 Nationals Of Benin Republic Sentenced To 10years Imprisonment Each With Hard Labour In Nigeria For R ape

Two nationals of Benin Republic were yesterday sentenced to 10 years imprisonment each for raping a 20-year old Nigerian girl who hawks sweets.
It was learnt that the young girl was hawking sweets around Yansiwhe in Makoko area of Lagos State when they called her and bought some sweets from her, but refused to pay her, and raped her instead.

The men, who were six in number, took turns to rape her until she fainted. They later revived her and asked her to leave the primary school premises where the incident took place and go home to take care of herself. But instead of going home she went straight to Yaba police station where she reported the matter.
Setonji 40, and Abraham Huvensu, 25, pictured above were later arrested and arraigned. The four others according to police are still at large but efforts are been made to track them down.

The chief magistrate after finding the two men guilty sentenced them to 10years imprisonment with hard labour.
