Pay Us Compensation-- Land Owner To Pastor Adeboye Over New Redeemed Church Auditorium

If they deserves the money, Pay them
Landowners where the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s new auditorium is being constructed have appealed to Pastor Enoch Adeboye to ensure prompt payment of land to avoid clashes between the displaced villagers and heads of communities
They are also appealing for increase in the money being paid to tenant farmers on the acquired land for damaged crops ranging from N20,000 to N50,000 per acre.

Speaking on behalf of the Agunfoye and Oso villages, Baale of Agunfoyeland, Chief
Yekini Babatunde Agunfon and Chief Sikiru Ososanya said the appeal became imperative, as series of letters to Pastor Adeboye have not been replied.

Spokespersons for the villages, said the indigenes and tenant farmers are becoming restless, as they believe the family heads have gone behind to collect money from the church.

Reports say the communities are demanding an additional N200,000 on each acre as well as N50, 000 per acre of land as compensation for damaged crops.

They said that the families had to get a court injunction against hoodlums trying to disrupt the building of the auditorium to show their commitment to the church project.

They added that they are, however, surprised by rumours that the church had paid money accruing to the communities to some hoodlums rather than village heads.

Based on this, the families said they have been inundated with demands and threats from the displaced land owners who thought they have received money from the church.

To forestall future crisis, they appealed to the General Overseer to quickly intervene and ensure that the money is paid to community heads who will ensure that farmers and displaced villagers receive their due compensation.
