Gunmen Attack Army Camp In Bauchi, Commander killed

Army Camp, which was being looked over by six armed soldiers in Wunti-Dada, Bauchi has been attacked this morning, by unknown gunmen.

The Nation reports that although one of the gunmen was killed during the shoot out, the soldiers too lost one of their members, who is a commander of the camp, while another sustained gunshot injuries on one of his legs.
It was reported that the unknown attackers who came on  two Bajal motorcycles ran away when they
saw one their members, who fell down dead from the soldiers who angrily opened fire on them. However, an eyewitness made it known that the unfortunate attack occurred, some minutes after Muslim first prayer of the day, at about 5: 20 am today, Thursday, 28th August.
The witness further revealed that the soldiers were taken unawares saying: “I was afraid and did not get very close to the camp, but I think some soldiers might have been injured too”.
It would be recalled that recently, the notorious Boko Haram sect inflicted an attack on villagers of Askira-Uba local government council of Borno State, killing nine of their kinsmen.
