Massive Attack Reported In Kautikari Village Near Chibok

An attack, described as massive by residents, has been reported in Kautikari village, seven kilometres away from Chibok town in the southern part of Borno state.

Villagers in Chibok made a distress call to journalists and security operatives in Maiduguri calling for urgent help. A text message sent by a  resident at about 9:30 a.m. read:
“Massive attack on Kautikari now. All security agencies should be notified,  and call for
divine help now.”

An official of Department of Security Service also confirmed the attack to PREMIUM TIMES but asked not to be named.
Yes, we also received the report, I believe action is being taken about now…but no one has been able to ascertain the nature or magnitude of the attack for now”, said the security source.
The extremist Boko Haram sect has continued to attack villages in Borno and neighbouring states, killing defenceless civilians.
