Francis Onyiso is a Kenyan footballer and he has sensationally apologised to his wife, Janet, through a paid advert in a local daily hoping it will persuade her to forgive him. Mr Onyiso refused to go into the details of the problems, only saying it is “personal and between the two of them”.
The two have been married for 20 years and have three children.
On why he chose to go public with the apology, he said he was convinced that the use of the media would go along way in making the message big and convincing.
