I Am Not Worried About The Insecurity In Some Part Of The Country----- President Jonathan

President Goodluck Jonathan today stunned even members of his party in Abuja when he told them he was not very worried about the insecurity in some parts of the country.
Speaking to members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during their meeting in the federal capital, he told them he was quite happy that security was not really an issue in PDP-controlled Nigeria.

"Most of our PDP states are doing well,” he declared, as some of the members reportedly looked at each other in disbelief.   “In fact security challenges are less in the PDP states because of the commitment of the governors."

He admitted, however, that this is not the best time for him and his party.

“I will just join the chairman to note that this is not a good time for all of us as a country.  Obviously
everybody knows the security challenges we have.

"I don’t want to be moaning or complaining but all what I can assure our great party is that we are taking o the challenges. I can promise you that …Members of the BOT and members of the National Caucus I called the National Security Adviser to brief them.

He said he could assure that his government was handling issues such as equipment.  “God willing these challenges of Boko Haram or other criminal elements will soon come to be history in this country."

Commenting on the touchy issue of those governors who defected from the party, he mocked the defectors, saying that most of them cannot win even ward elections in the future.
