32-year-old man Arrested For Killing Bus Driver Over 10naira Balance Dispute


   A 32-year-old man, Seyi Lawal has been arrested and arraigned an Iyaganku Chief Magistrate Court in Ibadan, Oyo state for allegedly killing a driver named Olawale Feyisetan over a N10 balance dispute.
               According to report, at about 7.30am at Iwo Road, Ibadan, the accused had gotten into a fight with the driver over his balance of N10. Other passengers in the vehicle tried to pacify Seyi but to no avail. As the dispute raged on, Feyisetan was said to have slumped and died.
Lawal was arraigned on a one-count charge of murder.



The prosecutor, Insp. Adewale Amos, told the court that the accused unlawfully killed Feyisetan by engaging in a fight with him over a N10 change, adding that the offence contravened Section 316 (1) of the Criminal Code Cap. 38, Vol. 11, Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The plea of the accused was not taken.
Presiding over the case, the Chief magistrate, Fatima Badrudeen, remanded the accused at the Agodi Prison pending the duplication of the case file for legal advice. The case was adjourned till June 30 for mention.
