At a wedding yesterday. Lovely ceremony, slightly marred by the bride and groom splitting up less than 2 hours later. No, really.
A Twitter user’s timeline was flooded with questions after he revealed he had attended a wedding where the couple went their separate ways just two hours after getting married.
As soon as Nick Pritchard, from Derby, posted the message about the wedding in Gretna Green, Scotland, he was inundated by users eager to know what had happened.
- @nmpritchard Yer wha'?
@LFBarfe Seriously! Falling out as we sat down to eat. Bride and groom stormed off. Cue massive row between families. Awkward.
@FurnessGirl Words were had as we sat down to eat. Seems there had been other issues throughout the day. All kicked off.—

This message was immediately followed up by a query from one of his followers as to whether he was being serious.
He added: ‘Seriously! Falling out as we sat down to eat. Bride and groom stormed off. Cue massive row between families. Awkward.’
- @nmpritchard @jkfirhill Did you get to finish your meal. Hope they split before the speeches.
@Aelred82 @jkfirhill Yes I finished my meal. Priorities. And yes, no speeches.

Twitter wasn’t yet finished, with users even specifically following Mr Pritchard to get the full details.
‘That is impressive. Are they reconciled or still feuding?,’Lucy Freeman asked.
Mr Pritchard responded: ‘Still feuding as far as I know. Left them to it last night.’
More questions revealed the wedding cake had remained uncut, the speeches hadn’t been made and there was a ‘massive row’ between the two families.
UPDATE: Who says true love doesn’t conquer all?
Hearing that against all odds a rapprochement may now be under way. More news as we get it.
