When you have a child going through the terrible twos, a little bit of chocolate or dried fruit can be a great distraction.
But Faye Jacobs aims to please her daughters no matter what the cost. She has bought them designer clothes, five-star holidays and toys worth £45,000.
Although Savannah, aged one, is still too young to appreciate her Ralph Lauren onesies, two-year-old Scarlett is getting a taste for the high life.
Mrs Jacobs, 30, said: ‘Scarlett’s turned into a total snob already. We’ve bought her clothes from Primark and she sort of looks at it as if to say “there’s not a hope in hell I’m wearing that”.
‘It’s important they walk properly so I wouldn’t ever buy cheap shoes from Next or M&S or anywhere like that.’
The doting mother lives with husband Paul in Camberley, Surrey. She says when Scarlett isn’t enjoying holidays in Cape Town or Dubai, their girl is happiest in the front seat of her father’s Porsche.
Mrs Jacobs seems proud her daughter is a shoe girl, too, adding: ‘We bought her Cinderella shoes and she hated them because they weren’t expensive enough.
‘I always knew friends that were spoilt and I remember thinking when I have children I really don’t want that.’
