Founder
of Great Calling Ministry, GCM, Pastor Francis Irabor, Sunday escaped
death from a group of armed men, suspected to be Boko Haram insurgents,
as he returned home from a church service in Abuja.
Pastor
Irabor, who was visibly shaken by the incident, stated that he was
going home after the Sunday service when a group of armed men in a black
Camry car, with concealed number plate attacked him.
According
to him, the car was parked few meters from the church, but as he was
driving home in the company of his armed mobile police guards, the
suspected armed men shot at him and shattered the windscreen of his
Sport Utility Vehicle. And when they noticed that he was being guarded
by armed mobile policemen, the assailants escaped.
The
pastor said he had earlier received series of threat text messages from
suspected terrorists, which he ignored, “fully putting his trust in
God.”
