Bomb Blast At Bauchi Soccer Viewing Center Kills 10, Injures 14

At least 10 people have been killed while 14 others sustained injuries from a bomb blast at People's Hotel brothel in Bayangarin area of Bauchi township on Friday night.
An eyewitness said that five men in military uniform perpetrated the heinous act.
The witness said he was at a viewing centre close to the hotel when the men arrived, detonating explosives and then shooting at random to kill those trying to escape.
“Those of us who saw them thought they were soldiers who wanted to come and enjoy replays of the World Cup goals that we were all watching," he said.

Man Kills His Brother For Having an Afair With His Ex- Wife (Photo)

A 39-year-old man Michael Christopher Wasar, was arrested after he allegedly killed his older brother, 45-year-old Matthew Wasar when he learned that his older brother was sleeping with his former wife.
Police in Peoria, Arizona, said that the man shot his older brother for trading drugs in exchange for sex with the former wife of the suspect.
The altercation began when Wasar learned that his former wife, Jessica Wasar, took some of his items and gave it to his brother.
The two broke into the older brother’s home to retrieve the items, which Jessica Wasar had stolen from her former husband and gave to his brother.

The Boko haram terrorists leader, Abubakar Shekau, and a splinter group, Ansaru were on Wednesday

9ja Military Kills Over 50 Terrorists In Borno

Seems like the battle line has been drawn as the Nigerian military reportedly killed over 50 50 suspected terrorists during a raid on a makeshift camp in Miyanti and Bulungu in Borno State.
According to a statement posted on the website of the Defence Headquarters, no fewer than 50 terrorists died in the encounter which caused the military the lives of two of their men and five others received injuries.

It was gathered that a fuel dump used for storing fuel, vehicles, including Toyota Hilux trucks, and seven motorcycles were destroyed in the raid.
The statement also informed that15 rifles, 11 machine guns and ammunitions were captured by the soldiers.

A middle-aged man was paraded by the police in Abia State on Thursday for allegedly selling his one-day-old son.

Ogbonna Chukwudi , 27, a tricycle operator and resident of Cool Park Street, Ogbo Hill, Aba, allegedly sold his only son few hours after his wife put to birth in a private birth centre also in Ogbo Hill. And according to the Police Commissioner, Adamu Ibrahim, the suspect had arranged with the nurse who operated the centre and a buyer was contacted.
He said:
“The incident took place on June 18, 2014. Luck, however, ran out on them when the
wife woke up and sought to see her baby. She was told by the husband that the baby was dead and had been buried.”

Some of the hospitalised victims of the Emab Plaza explosion in Abuja last Wednesday have recounted their experience, while thanking God for sparing their lives.

The victims, who spoke with a Punch correspondent at the Maitama District Hospital, were students, a fashion designer and a vendor. They gave their names as – Donald Tyokasi, Sulaiman Ademola, Junaid Taofeek Olatunji and Michael Ojeh. Ojeh’s mother, who was also in the hospital, said the whereabouts of her husband who was at the scene of the blast were still unknown as of 5pm on Thursday.

A chained man rescued from the ritualists’ den this morning in Ikorodu
A ritualists’ den has been discovered in Majidun area of Ikorodu, Lagos State.
According to reports, the den where abducted children and adults were allegedly kept as hostages is situated beside a church named Holy Family, both in the remote area of the town.

According to a report on Leadership, tension is high in Enugu State following the arrest of about 21 suspected Boko Haram members, who were reportedly traveling to Kaduna from Aba with several military uniforms concealed in a luxury bus.
