Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi, has denied the report making the round that he has resigned.
Stephen Keshi who expressed shock following the reports explained that he only told his players that this maybe his last match at the helm of affairs in the national team, claiming he has not formally resigned.
read what he said in an interview-- What I said to my players was that this maybe my last match at the helm of affairs in the national team, because my contract terminates with the World Cup and I have not been offered a new one.
“I was a bit shocked that the global media went to town to say I have called it quits with the national team. Resignations are not done on the pages of newspapers but formally.”
The former Mali and Togo coach took over from Samson Siasia in 2011 and led Nigeria to triumph at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations
