Soldiers detain speaker of the house of reps, Aminu Tambuwal


   The speaker of the federal house of representatives,Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal was harrased and briefly this morning around 9am by Nigerian soldiers in Kaduna.Tambuwal's convoy was stopped by the soldiers, insisting his official car must be searched before he could be allowed into an international conference he was scheduled to deliver a speech in.
            The visibly annoyed politician came out of his vehicle and trakked to the venue of the conference. The international conference was themed on security and development challenges of pastoralism in West and central Africa
organised by the office of the National Security Adviser.


When contacted on the matter, the speaker's aide,

Malam Imam said;
“It is not about the person of the Speaker, but the office he is occupying. What we expect is for the security agents to show respect for the office of the Number 4 citizen of the country, ”
