                   29-year-old Raji Saheed who was paraded at Eleweran Police Station, Abeokuta Ogun State for allegedly stealing motorcycles, Saheed opened up to Punch ,saying though he steals motorcycles, he is not an armed robber.
 “I started stealing okadas since 2011, and it was as a result of mixing up with bad friends that I got into the business. It was not my intention to steal.I was an apprentice vulcaniser, but when my master died, I was confused and I didn’t know what else to do.
That was when I met this friend who taught me how to steal okada. I do not know where my friend is right now, but in 2012, I heard he had been arrested and was remanded in Kirikiri prison.”

5 Killed In Cross River After Eating Dog Meat

   FIVE persons, a man and two of his children and two others were confirmed dead on Friday in the village of Uchenyim , Wanikade, North Ukelle in northern Cross River State after eating the meat of a dog.
                        Reports from the area said the dog was fond of eating the eggs laid by native chicken in the Odareko-Uchenyim village and one of the villagers allegedly laced the eggs laid by his chicken with gamalin 20 insecticide and as expected, “the dog ate the eggs and fell ill and when it was about to die the owner quickly killed and prepared it into a delicacy which he, his family consumed and some neighbors consumed ” Ugbem Onawo, a villager narrated to Vanguard.

EFCC's statement read;
Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested a syndicate of scammers for attempting to defraud Enterprise Bank Plc. Ola Lawal, Olumide Kayode and Abass Adekunle were arrested following a botched attempt to compromise the bank’s system and steal depositors’ funds using an electronic device known as Keelog Key Grabber.

Unknown Gunmen kidnap 2-year-old-girl in Akwa Ibom

   Kidnapping is sure a lucrative business in Nigerian, hence why it is refeed to a s kidnap capital of the world. Three unidentified gunmen have abducted a two-year-old girl, Miss Patience Essiet, in Ukat Ubium, Nsit Ubium Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.

Doctors Stunned As Baby Girl Is Born With 1 Eye A Forehead

   Doctors at Dr Malizo Mpehle Memorial Hospital in Tsolo, South Africa, delivered a baby with an eye  on the forehead, the provincial health department said.
               The baby girl, who was born to a 16-year-old girl from Qumbu, did not survive.

Ebola-- Wema Bank To ‘Reject’ Customers With High Fever

   Wema Bank has introduced self-dispensing hand sanitisers, and body temperature scanners at all its branches in the country in a move aimed at curtailing the spread of Ebola, Premium Times reports.
                 The bank is also introducing protective gears for members of its staffs especially those who deal directly with customers.
In a notice to customers released Monday, the bank said henceforth all customers and visitors to any branch of the bank would be required to use the hand sanitisers and be scanned for symptoms of fever before being admitted into their banking halls.

Mistaken Identity: University lecturer Shoot By Unknown Gunmen in Anambra

  In a case of mistaken identity, Mr Reuben Ikwu, an Engineering lecturer of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), was reportedly attacked and shot by three unknown gunmen on Sunday, 24 August.
The gunmen had mistakened Ikwu for a Lagos-based businessman who was on a visit to Umuawulu, Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State. The gunmen had trailed the Lagos-based businessman’s driver back home to the entrance of the house, where he was playing host to the late Ikwu.

Oldest Pastor in Nigeria, Pa Samuel Sadela, Dies at 114

   Living above One Hundred is a big one for any Nigerian these days. It emerged on Tuesday that the Founder and President of the Gospel Apostolic Church, Pa Samuel Sadela, has passed on. He was aged 114.

Although a pastor in the church reportedly claimed that the man described as one of Nigeria’s oldest pastors could still be receiving treatment in a hospital, he was said to have died in church's premises in Lagos.
